We are getting ready for prom this year. I felt well enough to take Meg shopping to pick out the most exquisite
dress. She looks absolutely breathtaking! When did she become such a beautiful young woman? My eyes closed
once or twice and here she is, a lovely young lady making her own way through the world. I love being her mother.
She is so good to me...

A tranquil setting in Isanti to rest in peace. |

|
The roses mark my mother's grave. I will be buried in this cemetary also. |
|
Life is never as it seems. We never know when the Lord will come to take us home...

Just after my cancer diagnosis, my parents purchased a site in this beautiful cemetery. I had mentioned
that I would like to be buried beside my Grandpa and Grandma Miller. They had purchased their sites in this cemetery
earlier.
They bought this without my knowledge and pondered whether they should mention it or to wait until after
I passed away. Mom and Dad were sensitive to how I might feel about this. They decided to tell Gary and I.
I wanted to see it before I died so we all went in my parents' RV - Dad, Mom, Gary, Me, Megan and Drew. I
remember quite clearly how eery it was to stand in the grave yard. I had this deja vu feeling. In looking back
now, I wonder how much of that was sixth sense. I can still feel the warmth of the fall sunshine on my face and the
gentle breeze that was fresh with all of the Autumn incense aromas. It was such a peaceful, beautiful place. I
sometimes wonder if mom felt something too. I know that her biggest fear was losing a child. I was suppose to
have died from the cancer by then. Every single doctor and hospital I went to had the same diagnosis (prognosis?).
Gary purchased a plot so that we could be buried side by side.
Until we meet again in heaven, mom. It still hurts that you are gone. I miss you every single day.
I'm glad that you are happy now, that you are safe and warm and loved in Jesus' arms...

I love you, mama. I miss you. I wish you were here so I could put my arms around you once more.
